PERAK Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) is collaborating with Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP)to help medical students gain experience of real work.

The collaboration will allow physiotherapy, medical imaging, pharmacology, and nursing students and those pursuing their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees to take part in real-time learning.

PCSH CEO Nicholas Chan said it is critical for medical students to understand and make connections between the classroom and the real world.

“We also welcome the students to participate in our corporate social responsibilities events, which will give a good opportunity to develop particular skills and exhibit their non-academic abilities as well,” he said.

UniKL RCMP International, Industrial and Institutional Partnership Division Deputy Director Ahmad Zakuan Khairuddin said students will be able to learn about their particular fields from the inside and to work alongside professionals in the respective units.

“They can then decide if this is the right field for them,” he said.
