SEPANG: A short film produced by the students of MRSM has made Malaysia proud by winning a gold medal in the International Informatics Project Competition, held in Bucharest, Romania recently.
The short film titled ‘The Lost’ was the brainchild of 16-year-old Amir Hazum and Muhammad Khalis Irfan Khairudin – who are both students of MRSM Kubang Pasu.
Their triumphant victory was shared on Informatrix’s Facebook page as the two lads shared the spotlight alongside winners of the same category from Romania, Mexico, Vietnam, Poland and Tajikistan.
Utusan Online reported that Malaysia was not only successful in the Short Film category, as 16-year-old Muhamad Sohail Lal Lal Muhammad and Muhamad Faris Izzuddin Mat Rodzi, from MRSM Langkawi, bagged the bronze medal in the Robotics category through their robot called MARESBOT.
The return of the students who were involved in the competition – which ran from 27 April to 1 May – was greeted by the Deputy Director of Curriculum, Secondary Education Division Mara, Shahrizal Mohd. Saderi, fellow MARA peers and family members at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) yesterday.
Congratulations to the four winners, and we hope your victory will serve as an inspiration for your peers to apply what they learn to benefit humankind.
